Our Food Services division is licensed by the Washington State Department of Agriculture as a food processor that allows us to process, package and sell the food in retail locations. We are also licensed by the local County Health Departments to provide on-site catering. All kitchens have state-of-the-art equipment for preparing, cooking and fast-chilling ready-to-eat foods.
Five-week menu cycles have been developed for our programs. The menus are certified by a registered dietician who is contracted by Pioneer. The nutritionist certifies that our menus comply with the Washington State and federal nutritional requirements to ensure all meals meet with the nutritional and dietary needs of the clients we serve. Trained diet aides are also on staff to accommodate special diet needs to include:
- Soft mechanical (chewing difficulty)
- Diabetic diet
- Gluten free
- Low sodium
- Kosher foods
- Other diet needs by request
Onsite training for your kitchen staff can be provided by Pioneer upon request for proper heating, portioning and serving of the meals. Safe food handling and food storage techniques can also be discussed with your staff.
