We celebrated our annual Change Maker Lunch with Shaka Senghor as our keynote speaker on September 29, 2016. The event was attended by Pioneer board members, partner organizations, community leaders and political figures in Washington State.

The luncheon gave Pioneer the opportunity to applaud our partners and share our social mission with the community. Shaka Senghor, a leading voice in criminal justice reform, advocate for those affected by the justice system, and best-selling author of Writing My Wrongs, was the guest speaker. Shaka shared his story about growing up on the streets of Detroit, incarceration and redemption. Watch his speech here.
