Program details
The new Skagit Crisis Stabilization Center opened its doors on August 4, 2026, providing detox to adults in need of safe and supportive withdrawal from alcohol or drug use, and providing residential treatment for those struggling with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. At a later date TBD, the center will also be offering stabilization services for people experiencing a mental health crisis.
The program is a voluntary alternative for individuals to break the cycle of the criminal justice system’s revolving door, as it provides an option to have criminal charges dropped if the program is completed.
Services
- Safe Detox: Supervised support for withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs.
- Treatment: Residential co-occurring substance use treatment and mental health counseling.
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): Supportive medications such as Suboxone to aid recovery.
- Classes: Basic living skills, nutrition, health, recreation, anger management, and recovery lifestyle.
- Group Support: Relapse behavior and prevention, coping skills, self-esteem and trauma survivor groups.
- Community Transition: Discharge preparation and individual recovery plan development, supportive employment and housing services.
- COMING SOON: Mental Health Crisis Support: Immediate assistance for those in crisis, such as thoughts of self-harm, delusions, or severe anxiety.

Length of Treatment
The center serves as an initial service entry point for eligible individuals, offering a full range of medical, mental health, and substance use treatment services at a single location. Your length of stay will depend on your individual situation. Patients usually stay in detox and stabilization services for 3-7 days and the co-occurring residential program is 28 days.

Most members of our team have been through the process of recovery themselves. They are available to support you 24/7 throughout your stay and as you transition to the next level of treatment based on your individual needs and ultimately back into the community.
