Seattle University Alumni Lend a Hand

You are here

A group of Seattle University alumni connected with Pioneer during the annual Seattle University Day of Service, an event that engages alumni in various service projects across the city of Seattle.

These enthusiastic volunteers took time out of their Saturday mornings to put together 150 hygiene kits at the Stewart House, one of Pioneer's Seattle housing programs. These kits included essentials such as toothpaste, a toothbrush, dental floss, shampoo, conditioner, soap, a comb and deodorant. They will be distributed to residents moving into Seattle's transitional housing programs. The efforts of these volunteers have a direct impact on Pioneer's incoming residents and will help them feel ready and prepared for the next chapter of their lives.

Across Pioneer's programs, there are individuals transitioning from homelessness or incarceration into their first home who are in desperate need of supplies.  If you would like to learn more about donating new and unused hygiene supplies or hosting a hygiene supply drive, please contact [email protected]

More information on our other in-kind donation needs can be found HERE.
