Rainier Clinic Celebrates Open House

Pioneer Counseling-Rainier Clinic has moved into a new facility and had an Open House for community partners on Thursday, January 26, 2017. The new clinic is located at 901 Rainier Avenue South in Seattle and supports clients in their recovery from mental health and substance use disorder issues. Individuals can self-refer to the program or the clinic accepts referrals from law enforcement and other agencies.

Speakers at the event included: 

  • Councilmember Jeanne Kohl-Welles
  • Brad Finegood, King County Dept. of Community & Health Services, Behavioral Health and Recovery Division and Co-Chair of King County Heroin and Opiate Addiction Task Force
  • Callista Welbaum, King County District Regional Mental Health Court, King County District Regional Veterans Court

All of the leaders discussed the opioid and heroin epidemic in the region and the role of the service providers, along with the community, in helping to address the needs of individuals struggling with addiction or in the recovery process.
