Where: Seattle Public Library – Downtown, 1000 Fourth Ave., Seattle, WA 98104-1109

The Seattle Public Library is presenting the film Beyond the Wall in partnership with Pioneer. Join us for a free screening to see a social justice film looking at the journey from incarceration to community, from behind the wall to beyond the wall. The film was produced by filmmakers Bestor Cram, Jenny Phillips and Andrew Kukura.

Through personal stories of reentry, relapse, recovery and redemption, “Beyond the Wall” puts a human face on the social, economic and emotional barriers encountered by returning citizens. The film follows five formerly incarcerated men who are attempting to rebuild their lives on the outside with little support from the criminal justice system.

Following the film, a panel will discuss local issues, obstacles, and advocacy for people with criminal histories in our community. There will be an audience Q&A.
