Goodwill Seattle & Fotos Photography Participate in Mock Interviews

Special thanks to Goodwill Industries and Fotos Photography who participated in mock interviews with the students from Pioneer’s Roadmap to Success training program in Seattle. In the sessions the students have the opportunity to practice their job interview skills that they have learned in class. Local employer participation is very important for the students’ learning experience.

Both Sharon Dizer and James Blackburn from Goodwill Industries, in addition to Christopher Fotos from Fotos Photography interviewed students to help them polish their skills and prepare them for future job interviews. Topics discussed included navigating questions about having a criminal history and addressing time lapses in employment.

In the Roadmap to Success training program students learn the skills needed to find and retain employment. Skills learned include time management, professional communication, conflict resolution, interacting with authority, and writing effective cover letters and resumes.
