The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting us all and especially our most vulnerable clients. This has become clear to us as we assist them with their new realities of lost jobs, lack of child care and stay home orders.

Sara is a resident in our affordable housing in Tacoma who lost her job. She was working at a large events venue that has been shutdown due to the coronavirus. As a single mother, Sara supports her two children in a one-bedroom apartment. Now out of work, Sara is struggling to support herself and her children. The Pioneer COVID-19 Relief Fund will help Sara meet the needs of her family. 

Over the coming weeks and months, we will need to provide much more support to clients like Sara in terms of rental assistance, food provisions, medical costs and more.
